Adewale S. Azeez is a doctoral researcher and senior academic with over two decades of professional and teaching experience in forensic accounting, financial crime investigation, auditing, and strategic management. He is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Salford, Manchester United Kingdom, where his research focuses on Crowdfunding Platform Dynamics and Stakeholders’ Engagement in Biodiversity Conservation Finance. His work explores how digital platform design, trust mechanisms, and stakeholder behaviour shape conservation finance outcomes in a rapidly evolving, borderless digital economy.

Adewale has served as a Senior Lecturer in Forensic Accounting and Financial Crime at the Nigerian Defence Academy Kaduna, where he designed and delivered undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, supervised research projects, and collaborated with interdisciplinary teams on accounting, financial technology, and governancerelated studies. His academic career also includes extensive experience in curriculum development, professional training, and quality assurance across several departments within the Nigerian Defence Academy.

Professionally, he is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), a Certified Forensic Accountant (CFA), a Chartered Public Finance Accountant (CPFA), and a Certified Professional Forensic Accountant (CPFAcct). His expertise spans fraud detection, financial crime prevention, risk assessment, and the application of forensic techniques to realworld financial challenges.

Adewale’s research and teaching are driven by a commitment to strengthening financial integrity, enhancing digital trust, and advancing innovative financing mechanisms for global sustainability. His current work will contribute to emerging conversations on how digital platforms, regulatory quality, and stakeholder engagement can support biodiversity conservation and inform policy frameworks for a more transparent, inclusive, and borderless financial ecosystem.
