Chinwe Uzoho
Chinwe Uzoho is the Regional Managing Director for West and Central Africa atNetwork International, where she leads strategic growth across one of the company’s most dynamic regions. Based in Nigeria, she is responsible for driving market expansion, strengthening strategic partnerships, and delivering sustained business growth across West and Central Africa.
With nearly three decades of experience in banking and financial services, Chinwe is widely recognised as a transformational leader in digital payments, retail banking, and product innovation. She has built a distinguished track record of scaling businesses, launching market-leading financial solutions, and enabling cross-border expansion within Africa’s rapidly evolving payments ecosystem.
Prior to joining Network International, Chinwe served as Group Head, Retail Banking at Access Bank Plc, where she oversaw retail growth and sales performance across key economic hubs including Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt. She played a critical role in shaping the bank’s retail strategy and led large-scale transformation initiatives, including the successful alignment of retail operations during the Access-Diamond merger in collaboration with global consulting firms.
A respected thought leader in product development, Chinwe restructured AccessBank’s product function and championed the launch of several flagship offerings, including digital lending platforms, everyday banking solutions, retail asset and liability products, and customer loyalty programmes deployed across the Group. Her expertise spans digital payment strategy, inclusive finance, stakeholder engagement, and building scalable financial ecosystems that drive both access and profitability.
Chinwe serves on the boards of Network International Nigeria and Ghana and is a strong advocate for advancing women in leadership and technology. She actively engages with global platforms focused on women in banking and fintech and has been recognised among the leading women shaping the fintech landscape in Africa.
She holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Uyo, an MSc in Global ConsumerMarketing from the University of Liverpool, and an MBA with Distinction from Bangor Business School, UK. She is a Certified Chartered Banker (MCIB, Scotland) and anAssociate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (ACIB). Chinwe has completed executive education programmes at Harvard Business School (AdvancedManagement Program), The Wharton School, and Lagos Business School (SeniorManagement Programme), and is an alumna of these prestigious institutions. She also holds a certificate in Modern Board Direction from Boardroom Africa.
Outside of her professional commitments, Chinwe is actively involved in charitable initiatives supporting underserved communities.
